Churches in Bucharest, Clinica Pro-Vita
This post might not mean much to you unless you’re involved in ministry in Romania, but I wanted to share these anyway. I’ve been working on creating a list of churches (protestant, neo-protestant) in Bucharest and mapping where they are in the city. This is the link to the list as it is now: Biserici in Bucuresti, Churches in Bucharest. Ask me if you’d like an English translation of this list. The churches highlighted in blue have unknown or mistaken addresses (or weren’t specific enough to locate on a map). OC International (another organization here) has been very helpful in compiling this list. If you’re interested in a list of Orthodox and/or Catholic churches, I also have those. Basically, there is roughly one evangelical church for every 20,000 people in Bucharest. This isn’t that surprising in a city where well over 90% of the population claims to be Orthodox, but it must be noted that most Orthodox people in Bucharest rarely visit any church, and most will never enter an evangelical church.
I’ve also added a link for the brand new Clinica Pro-Vita website! It’s a great site, but as of now is only in Romanian. They’re in the process of translating it into English. Check it out anyway!

This will be a helpful if I am able to return to Bucharest next year. Always nice to have lists available if out of town on Sunday. Thanks.
. I need to step up the study but its hard to be diligent as I’m not able to return this year as originally hoped.
Got your Christmas card. Sadly, had to use a Romanian dictionary once
You are in my prayers and I dream of the day when I can return (really I do- dream about being at a train station in Romania- a recurring dream).
God bless,
Jeff
HI I am going to be in Bucharest, Romania this summer to do an externship. I was looking on-line to see if I could find a list of churches, when I came across your website. I was wondering if you have that list in English. Thank you for your time and keep up the great work in Romania.
Hello Sharon,
Nice blog!
I’m living in Romania/Bucharest at the moment, and I was wondering if you still have the English lists of both (neo-)Protestant and Roman Catholic Churches available? It would help me a lot with orientating!
Thank you!
I’ll see if I can find the list…I’m sure I still have it somewhere. There are virtually no Roman Catholic churches in Bucharest (I’m trying to remember if I had any on the list). There are tons of Orthodox churches, though, and I may have that list as well.
